It is often very busy here because it is a well-known roundabout where major roads intersect and many buses and trams start and end here. It is also an important constitution square for politics in Greece. The parliament building is located here.
The Changing of the Guards ; Changing of the Guard ceremonies take place at the Presidential Mansion and at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which is at Syntagma Square below the Hellenic Parliament.
The National Garden; The National Garden is one of the most important and historic gardens in Greece, located in the center of Athens, in close connection with the Parliament Building, the former palace of the King Otto and Queen Amalia.
